Volunteers Needed

The Hardy County Health Department has begun recruiting volunteers for the Hardy County Medical Reserve Corps (HCMRC).  If you are interested please contact us today.  Your community needs you!


 

 

Breast and Cervical ] Communicable Disease ] Family Planning ] [ Health Check ] Immunizations ]

 

 

Health Check examinations are important for your child's health and future.

 

They help:

 

Prevent Illness

  • Regular exams and needed shots help keep kids healthy.

Find Health Problems Early

  • A child may look healthy and still have health problems such as diabetes, lead poisoning, or anemia

  • Problems found early can be treated to prevent irreversible harm.

ALL children need regular health exams, no matter how old they are.

Babies and Toddlers get:

  • An exam to make sure they are growing and developing properly

  • Shots to prevent serious illness

School-age Children get:

  • An exam which can find learning problems

  • Shots they need to start school (as required by state law)

Teens and Young Adults:

  • An exam which includes information about changes in their bodies, AIDS and other social diseases and behavioral health

Fluoride Supplements:

  • Water sample testing

  • Provisions of fluoride supplements for children under dental guidelines
     

Free of minimal charge based on income.

        January  9th- 9:00am  and 7:00pm  (Moorefield Middle School)
