Volunteers Needed

The Hardy County Health Department has begun recruiting volunteers for the Hardy County Medical Reserve Corps (HCMRC).  If you are interested please contact us today.  Your community needs you!


 

 

Breast and Cervical ] Communicable Disease ] [ Family Planning ] Health Check ] Immunizations ]

 

 

 

Services Include:

  • Medical exams including basic lab tests

  • Pap test

  • Pregnancy test

  • Breast exam

  • Testing for some sexually transmitted diseases

  • Follow-up and referrals by physicians or nurse midwife for identified medical problems

  • Health education and counseling

Free Birth Control Methods Available:

  • Pill

  • Diaphragm

  • Foam

  • Condoms

  • Depo-Provera injections

Who Qualifies:

If you are a woman, man, or adolescent of child bearing age and

  • are a student,

  • are employed at an entry-level, temporary or a minimum wage job,

  • recently lost your job,

  • can't afford to pay for birth control every month,

  • have health insurance that pays for exams but does not cover birth  control methods,

  • have a Medicaid card (not HMO)

  • lost your WV WORKS (TANF) benefits or medical card,

Free of minimal charge based on income.

Environmental

    Food School (Conference Room)

        January  9th- 9:00am  and 7:00pm  (Moorefield Middle School)

           January 23rd - 7:00 pm Wardensville VFW
